LA VALSESIA
Valsesia is one of Monte Rosa valleys; it's not
really well known like other valleys, but it's very
appreciated by trekkers, kayakers and wild waters
lovers from all over Italy and Europe, since it's
absolutely wild and unpolluted.
Here you'll find a spreading nature and a wonderful
river, with pure and crystalline water, inhabited
by a rare and precious ecosystem.
A paradise lost? No! Valsesia is one hour and a
half driving from Milan, Turin, Geneva and Malpensa
airport.
How to get here
Valsesia colors: Green, Pink,
Gold

Green like its nature, rose-coloured like its Mountain,
gold like its artistic and cultural richness.

"Three colors that leave space to the immagination.
What do they mean? Maybe a jewel-case created from
Nature, to guard a tresure created by men?

Valsesia is green mirroring itself in the river,
in the shadow of forests, mosses, meadows. A natural
green, sometimes too shown and strong, filling your
eyes along the main Valley, the Valsessera, the
Val Mastallone, the Val Sermenza, the Valley of
Valduggia and Cellio.

Rose is the name of the Mountain, but the pink magic
color spreads in the sky during winter sunsets and
fills the ski traks in the gracier during summers.

Gold, that for five centuries has been extracted
in the mines of Alagna, today is in Valsesia people's
mind, with its history, the art, the folklore.
Golden are the glares that the afternoon sun sends
back from the mosaics on the facade of the Basilica
in Sacro Monte, golden are the the baroque altars
realized by generations of Valsesian artists, golden
are the "puncetti" embroidered by Valsesian
woman, golden by time are also the ancient woods
of Walser houses in the upper Valley.
